What is Safe Escape?

The mission of Safe Escape is to provide families education, information and access to adapted evacuation products so that they may plan for, practice and safely evacuate children with health care needs or disabilities during any fire, emergency or natural disaster. The vision of Safe Escape is to empower families to create and utilize specific, customized emergency evacuation plans, while reducing the risk of secondary injury or death for children with health care needs or disabilities.
Safe Escape at Riley Hospital is a model demonstration program that illustrates how the Safe Escape program can be activated by other children's hospitals.
